It was just a few years ago that the dream of having a DSLR under 1000 dollars was like an unattainable dream. But fortunately, these days with the arrival of other diverse and more affordable DSLRs, this dream has come true, and considering our budget, we can buy one digital camera with interchangeable lenses. But it’s not just DSLR cameras that have many photography options anymore.

Canon Rebel T5i / EOS 700D (W/18–55mm STM Kit zoom)

Among the elements used in the 700D, we can mention the 18-megapixel CMOS image sensor, 9-point autofocus sensor, 3-inch rotating touch screen, and HD video recording. Compared to the hybrid system of the second edition, which is used in the Canon EOS 100D camera, it is not different in terms of speed. EOS 700D, like its newly introduced counterpart 100D, and its predecessor, 650D, has a touch screen. It is sensitive like the current smartphones, but instead, it is simple and convenient to use.

Although the camera has not seen much progress compared to the previous model, a new lens kit has been introduced with it. 18–55 F/3.5–5.7 IS STM lens. The fact that one of these lenses will be included with the purchase of this camera is attractive in itself. Lenses with a stepper motor.

This lens has fast and quiet autofocus. The anti-vibration provides a powerful image of up to 4 steps, and its diaphragm is also 7 blades and circular. Its minimum focus distance is 25 cm. The most interesting thing is that the focus system is internal. This means that when focusing, the outer glass of the lens does not rotate or the lens itself does not change its length.

The new Canon EOS 700 D / Rebel T5i camera is an APSD-C DSLR camera with an eighteen-megapixel CMOS sensor and a DIGIC5 processor and the ability to shoot consecutively at 5 frames per second. The advanced autofocus module of the Canon EOS 700D camera consists of 9 Cross-type sensors and the 360-degree circular panel on the camera with its simple and beautiful design provides easy access to different photography modes.

The three-inch clear view LCD II touch screen of the Canon EOS 700 D camera makes it easy and attractive for the user to view the photos taken and take pictures. When shooting in live view mode and CMOS hybrid autofocus system, it provides accurate and high-speed autofocus for taking photos and videos.

In addition to this camera, you can also consider the Canon EOS 100D/Rebel SL1. The 100D is significantly smaller and lighter than the 700D. EOS 100D and EOS 700D have been introduced on the same day. They have common features such as an 18-megapixel sensor, a DIGIC5 processor, and excellent image quality.

Sony SLT-A65 (w/18–55mm kit zoom)

In addition to the SLT A65 model, you can also consider the Nikon D5200 camera as an alternative option. Like its previous models, this camera is in the category of more expensive entry-level cameras. You can consider a direct competitor of the Canon EOS 650D camera.

This series of entry-level cameras are more expensive, larger, and offer more features than cameras like the Nikon D3200 and Canon 1100D. The Nikon D5200 camera is a new 24.1-megapixel DSLR camera that can shoot full HD video in 1080p resolution at 25 frames per second and 60i, 50i. The 3-inch screen of the Nikon D5200 camera is movable and can rotate in any direction, which allows you to easily frame in any situation.

While the range of the D5200 is from 100 to 25600, it is possible to shoot without flash in almost any situation. Burst 5 frames per second, Expeed 3 sensor, 39-point autofocus, 3D tracking focus system, 2016-pixel RGB sensor, HDR mode, and Active D-lighting are the headlines of the Nikon D5200 digital camera.

The 16.2-megapixel sensor of the Nikon D5100 professional camera replaces with a 24.1-megapixel CMOS sensor, which also adds Live View capability to the camera. You can also record full HD video and shoot continuously at 5 frames per second. The D5200’s fully rotatable digital screen is a great solution for ease of use in any situation. This type of rotation, which first comes out of the body and then rotates around, is better than other types of moving screens. Because it is more flexible.

The screen of the D5200 camera has 920,000 dots, which is of high quality. There is also an anti-reflective layer on the screen, which makes the screen usable in any lighting conditions, even direct sunlight, although a little reflection.

Nikon D3200 (w/18–55mm kit zoom)

The D3200 camera offers another generation of semi-professional Nikon cameras. One of the important features of this camera is its 24-megapixel MP CMOS sensor. In terms of the highest number of pixels we have ever seen in APS-C sensors, it is similar to Sony Alpha SLT-A65, Alpha 77, and NEX-7 cameras.

But the important thing besides this camera feature is its incredible price of only $699. With Full HD 30fps video recording, a 920k display, and a new Wi-Fi transmitter capability, the D3200 has clear advantages over the D3100. As usual for Nikon cameras of this level, the D3200 lacks an internal focus motor and automatic exposure bracketing. It has only a simple version of D-Light, which has recently become a permanent member of Nikon DSLR cameras.

The eyepiece of the D3200 is the same as its previous models and offers 95% coverage and 8x magnification. These numbers may not seem high, but in normal photography, the D3200 has an eyepiece with more coverage and magnification compared to APS-C models. The size of this eyepiece is bigger than Canon’s EOS 1100D with 48x magnification, but it is smaller than Pentax K-rs with 54x magnification. But this eyepiece is not comparable to the D800 and D7000 eyepieces at all.

This time, Nikon did not use a rotating screen on this camera, and its screen has a 3-inch 921 million fixed screen. Another improvement in this camera is in its burst speed. Now the D3200 can shoot continuously at a speed of 4 frames per second, which is higher than all cameras of the same category up to this date.

D3200 should owe this increase in burst speed to the Expeed 3 image processor. The main sensitivity range of the camera sensor is up to 3200, which can increase up to 12,800. The scene detection system of this camera also uses 3D Color Matrix Metering II technology, which can be much more accurate.

The guide mode of this camera can be quite efficient for beginners. Through this mode, the camera will show you the effect of any change in any of the lighting parameters. It is specifically intended for beginners to give them the necessary training. This is great because a manual mode for professionals can be much more suitable than a green Auto mode.

Nikon 1 V2 camera can also be considered a suitable camera for your purchase. This camera is for users who are more serious about photography than the target users of the previous model. This 14-megapixel camera has with a built-in flash, a screw for setting photography modes, and of course, a large handle.

At the heart of this camera, just like the previous model, there is a 1-inch image sensor that comes with a 10–30 mm lens kit. This sensor helps the autofocus to be much faster and more accurate. Like its predecessor, the V2 is a Range Finder Style camera. Range finder cameras, which were popular in the 70s, looked like this.

A mechanism used you could estimate the distance of the subjects to the camera. As a result, you could do the manual focusing more easily. In any case, they are no longer produced. But their appearance is still used in modern cameras. Due to the combination of this sensor with the Expeed 3A image processor, we should probably see better quality photos at higher ISOs from this camera than the previous model.

In addition, this allows the camera to reach a burst speed of over 15 frames per second. Even for a mirrorless camera with interchangeable lenses, it’s fantastic. It is interesting to know that the crop factor of a 1-inch image sensor is about 2.7 times.

So, it turns the 10–30 lens into a 27–73 lens. We do not give additional explanations about other features such as Full HD video recording, RAW photography ability, etc. Because there are no changes in this camera compared to the previous model. But overall, the V2 is Nikon’s most advanced mirrorless camera with interchangeable lenses.
